Do you know what “B Roll” is? If you guess “what happens when Bob falls backwards out of his chair” you wouldn’t be entirely wrong but that’s not it. Basically, its secondary footage that is used to support the main object of focus. I am still in London, it’s currently 1:09 am and I am thinking that it’s going to take some time for me to process what I have seen and share. There have been many amazing and inspirational things to see and do over the last few days and I want to treat them right and write a proper A Roll type post. So what to do with all the super awesome things that I have pictures of but not really enough information to present them as their own post?
That’s right … B Roll baby. So far I have taken about 1,200 pictures and haven’t gone through them all just yet. There are some posts that I know I will prepare but those will have to wait until I am on my computer (instead of the hotel guest computer down in the lobby). Part of what I am looking for at these design shows is trending patterns. One that jumped out at me was pendant lights (lights that hang down from the ceiling). Cool stuff fo sho’ but not enough for me to dedicate a post to a single product – hence the ‘B-Roll’. Check it out-
So what do you think? They are all pretty colorful, ornate, manufacturing process expressed in the design, along with a celebration of material is definitely trending here. Do you see any patterns or am I in left field on this one?
Cheers!
