This coming Thursday, June 13th, I have been invited by the AIA Dallas Associates Committee to participating in their summer series called “Architecture on Tap.” This is a casual panel format conversation that anybody can attend and this one takes place at ‘The Mason Bar‘. Basically a handful of people sit in front of a bunch of other people and we all drink beer and talk about something – in this case, our topic will be ‘New Roads for Architectural Engagement’. The entire summer series is focused on the tools of the next generation of architects and I have been asked to participate in the one that will focus on digital engagement.
These events are really a lot of fun and all sorts of different sorts of people turn out – not just architects. Anybody who might be interested in drinking a few beers while listening to what the panelists have to say is welcome – or ask your own questions to get at the heart of what you want to know. You can also just come by and say hello – that would also be cool.
I have included the poster, as well as the information as published by AIA Dallas Associates Committee regarding the event below – I hope to see you there. You can click on the poster to register in advance
Cheers.

Join us for our second installment of Architecture on Tap where we will focus on the successes of social media in architecture and exploring “New Roads”. Our panelists, Bob Borson, Andrew Hawkins and Jonathan Brown will be exploring this past decade’s digital phenomena in detail. Conversations will expand beyond 140 characters, and hashtags will NOT be added to the end of every sentence. Mr. Borson’s blog www.lifeofanarchitect.com which has connected many people all over the globe will be talked about as well as the gravitas that twitter can bring to any designer’s voice. Drinks and light appetizers will make this #AoT #unforgettable #whatAREhashtags

.
Bob Borson, AIA
Life of an Architect
This is me … and despite the fact that I asked the other panelists to send me a few sentences about themselves, it feel really stupid doing it for myself on my own blog. I’ll leave it with this – I’ve been doing this for a while now and I have some opinions about digital engagement.
